Luke Devine

SOLICITOR

A young man with brown hair and a beard, smiling, wearing a dark suit, white shirt, and a striped tie, standing against a plain light background.

Luke is a Solicitor practising with Caldwell Ritchie Berry.

Luke graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2019 and has since developed broad commercial experience across both private practice and alternative legal service providers. Prior to qualification, he spent three years as an Associate within the contract negotiation team of a prominent Belfast-based alternative legal services provider, where he managed complex commercial contract portfolios and negotiated agreements on behalf of high-profile multinational clients.

Luke’s practice spans contentious and non-contentious construction, public procurement, and commercial law. He regularly advises local authorities, main contractors, and first-tier specialist subcontractors on complex, high-value matters, often involving multi-jurisdictional elements and close coordination between legal, technical, and commercial stakeholders.

Luke is committed to continuous professional development and has obtained multiple certifications and accreditations from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). He continues to pursue further qualifications to enhance his technical and commercial expertise.

Combining in-depth knowledge of his clients’ industries with a pragmatic, commercially focused approach, Luke delivers advice that is not only legally robust but strategically aligned with his clients’ objectives. His cross-border qualifications and multidisciplinary background place him in a strong position to take instruction on a wide range of commercial, procurement, and construction matters across the UK and beyond.
